Acuren is seeking PLI Techs to support our West Region operations. This role focuses on pipeline integrity field inspections, data review, and reporting to support client programs. Expect extended periods in remote field locations, with some time at the home division.

Responsibilities include direct assessment of pipe conditions, coating and protection analyses, and coordination with project engineers. Travel up to 75% is required and safety is emphasized throughout.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level education not required; candidates must meet minimum high school or equivalent credentials.
• Some college coursework is preferred.
• Technical background with pipeline or NDE awareness is desired.
• Experience in pipeline integrity or maintenance roles is required.
• Strong knowledge of quality and safety requirements is essential.
• Candidates must hold Magnetic Particle Testing Level 2 and Ultrasonic Thickness Level 2.
• Preferred additional certifications include 3D laser scanning, corrosion mapping, phased array/TOFD, or in-situ verification.
• NACE CIP Level I / CP Level I is a plus.
• Willingness to travel up to 75%.

Responsabilités

• Adhere to procedures and prepare reports for clients.
• Perform direct assessment of pipe condition including coating, soils, and cathodic protection.
• Evaluate cracks, corrosion, deformation, and manufacturing anomalies.
• Correlate inspection findings with ILI logs and write review reports.
• Conduct fit-for-service evaluations per ASME B31.3 and RSTRENG.
• Perform hazard assessments and follow safety procedures.
• Calibrate and set up NDE equipment; manage assets.
• Update databases and participate in client meetings.
