Job summary

SpecialtyRx, Inc. in Omaha, NE is seeking a licensed Pharmacy Technician to join our CARE-focused team. The role involves maintaining ADS data, handling inventory, and collaborating with pharmacy staff to ensure accurate billing and timely reports.

Local candidates only; must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and willingness to drive within Nebraska. Prior pharmacy experience, ADS system knowledge (Pyxis/Omnicell), and strong math/organizational skills are required.

Qualifications

  • Must be local to the Omaha area.
  • Licensed Pharmacy Technician required.
  • A valid driver’s license and active car insurance.
  • Reliable transportation required.
  • Willing to drive long distances in the State of Nebraska.
  • Previous pharmacy experience required (one-year in long-term care preferred).
  • Experience with Automated Dispensing Systems (Pyxis, Omnicell) and Data Entry preferred.
  • Able to use various programs and applications efficiently, and able to troubleshoot ADS problems.
  • Basic math and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Able to work independently under the direction of a supervisor.
  • Maintain active communication with the client facility and pharmacy staff.
  • Utilize reporting applications (myQlink, OmniCenter).
  • Maintain accurate information at each ADS (quantity and expiration date).
  • Identify and address discrepancies to ensure proper billing.
  • Replace potentially expiring inventory.
  • Restock depleted inventory.
  • Monthly audits (cycle count).
  • Provide reports for the facility.
  • Complete any other task assigned by the supervisor.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time, walk, bend, and crouch frequently.

  • Work is performed in a pharmacy and office environment.
Schedule:
  • 8:00am – 4:30pm
