Job summary

SpecialtyRx is seeking a licensed Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacy operations and ensure accurate processing of prescriptions. The role involves data entry, stock management, labeling, and coordinating with the pharmacist to maintain high service standards.

The ideal candidate has pharmacy experience, certification preferred, and demonstrates reliability, organization, and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Licensed Pharmacy Technician is required.
• Pharmacy Technician certification preferred.
• Previous pharmacy experience preferred.
• Previous data entry experience preferred.
• Must be reliable and able to handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Work under supervision.
• Maintain floor stock and restock medications; rotate stock and remove expired items.
• Prepack and package fill for floor bulk prescriptions; ship medications.
• Enter new orders for staff pharmacist review; maintain customer information.

Responsibilities:

• Able to work under the direction of a supervisor.
• Experience working Controlled Drugs (Narcotics) room a plus.
• Maintains floor stock, restocking, removal of expired medications.
• Rotate stock of medication areas to assure quality controls.
• Prepack for floor bulk prescribed medications.
• Package fill and ship medications.
• Enter new orders for staff pharmacist review.
• Maintain up-to-date, accurate customer information.
• Generate labels for dispensing.
• Answer phones and respond to order inquiries.
• Clarify orders as needed.
• Triage incoming faxes.
• Responsible for pharmacy standards, maintaining adherence policies.
• Team player and collaborates with others to support the goals of the pharmacy.
• Complete any other task assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Licensed Pharmacy Technician required.
• Pharmacy Technician certification preferred.
• Previous pharmacy experience preferred.
• Previous data entry experience preferred.
• Must be reliable and execute multiple tasks assigned.
• Good organizational skills and detail-oriented.
• Ability to physically perform light lifting.
