Job summary

Specialty Rx, Inc. is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to support dispensing activities and maintain accurate customer and medication records.

Under supervision, you will assist pharmacists with order processing, labeling, packaging, and shipping, while ensuring compliance with policies and quality controls. The role requires reliability, multitasking, and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

  • Data entry experience and accuracy are required.
  • Strong customer service orientation is preferred.
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail are essential.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain accuracy.
  • Must be able to perform light lifting as part of the job.

Responsibilities

  • Assist pharmacists under supervision.
  • Maintain floor stock and restock medications.
  • Prepack for floor bulk prescribed medications and package fill.
  • Enter new orders for staff pharmacist review.
  • Maintain up-to-date customer information and records.
  • Generate dispensing labels and prepare shipments.
  • Answer phones and respond to order inquiries promptly.
  • Clarify orders and triage faxes as needed.
  • Adhere to pharmacy standards and policies.
  • Collaborate with team to support pharmacy goals.
  • Complete any other tasks assigned by supervisor.

Responsibilities
  • Able to work under the direction of a supervisor.
  • Experience working Controlled Drugs (Narcotics) room a plus.
  • Maintains floor stock, restocking, removal of expired medications.
  • Rotate stock of medication areas to assure quality controls.
  • Prepack for floor bulk prescribed medications.
  • Package fill and ship medications.
  • Enter new orders for staff pharmacist review.
  • Maintain up-to-date, accurate customer information.
  • Generate labels for dispensing.
  • Answer phones and respond to order inquiries.
  • Clarify orders as needed.
  • Triage incoming faxes.
  • Responsible for pharmacy standards, maintaining adherence policies.
  • Team player and collaborates with others to support the goals of the pharmacy.
  • Complete any other task assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
  • Licensed Pharmacy Technician required.
  • Pharmacy Technician certification preferred.
  • Previous pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Previous data entry experience preferred.
  • Must be reliable and execute multiple tasks assigned.
  • Good organizational skills and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to physically perform light lifting.
