Job summary

Specialty Rx, Inc. in Omaha, NE is seeking a licensed Pharmacy Technician to support long-term care facilities. You will operate ADS like Pyxis/Omnicell, verify inventories, and communicate with facility staff.

Must be local to Omaha, with previous pharmacy experience and strong data-entry skills. The role is full-time, on-site, with day shifts and occasional travel within Nebraska.

Qualifications

  • Must be a licensed Pharmacy Technician.
  • Previous pharmacy experience required; long-term care experience preferred.
  • Experience with automated dispensing systems (Pyxis/Omnicell) and data entry preferred.
  • Able to use various programs and applications efficiently and troubleshoot ADS problems.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic math and analytical skills.
  • Ability to perform light lifting; valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Willing to drive long distances in Nebraska.

Responsibilities

  • Work independently under supervisor guidance.
  • Maintain active communication with client facility and pharmacy staff.
  • Utilize reporting applications (myQlink, OmniCenter).
  • Maintain accurate information at each ADS (quantity and expiration date).
  • Identify and address discrepancies to ensure proper billing.
  • Replace potentially expiring inventory and restock depleted stock.
  • Conduct monthly audits (cycle counts) and provide reports.
  • Complete any other tasks assigned by supervisor.

Responsibilities/Duties:


  • Able to work independently under the direction of a supervisor.

  • Maintain active communication with the client facility and pharmacy staff.

  • Utilize reporting applications (myQlink, OmniCenter).

  • Maintain accurate information at each ADS (Automated Dispensing System) (quantity and expiration date).

  • Identify and address discrepancies to ensure proper billing.

  • Replace potentially expiring inventory.

  • Restock depleted inventory.

  • Monthly audits (cycle count).

  • Provide reports for the facility.

  • Complete any other task assigned by the supervisor.




Education, Knowledge, and Skills:


  • Important: Must be local to the Omaha area.

  • Licensed Pharmacy Technician required.

  • Previous pharmacy experience required. (one-year experience in long-term care preferred).

  • Experience with Automated Dispensing Systems (Pyxis, Omnicell) and Data Entry preferred.

  • Able to use various programs and applications efficiently and able to troubleshoot ADS problems.

  • Good organizational skills and detail oriented.

  • Basic math and analytical skills.

  • Ability to physically perform light lifting.

  • A valid driver's license, car insurance and reliable transportation required.

  • Willing to drive long distances in the State of Nebraska.




Physical Requirements:


  • Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time, walk, bend, and crouch frequently.

  • Ability to occasionally perform light lifting (up to 20 pounds) and repetitious physical activity.

  • Repetitive computer and phone use.

  • Work is performed in a pharmacy and office environment.




Schedule:


  • 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday - Friday
