LJA Engineering seeks a Party Chief to transport, set up surveying instruments, and prepare sites for field surveys. You will operate Trimble/Topcon GPS systems, collect data, and support CAD work.

This role requires attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to work with diverse clients and teams on site. Responsibilities include running surveying equipment, establishing vertical control, locating property corners, and maintaining detailed notes throughout projects.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills both oral and written.
• Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external clients.

Responsabilités

• Operate surveying equipment (Trimble/Topcon) and data collectors.
• Run level loops to establish vertical control for topographic surveys.
• Determine property corner positions along rights-of-way and streets.
• Prepare working sketches of metes-and-bounds or field notes for properties.
• Locate corners, photograph corners, and document measurements with point numbers.
• Upload existing text files into data collectors and create CAD-friendly data.
• Maintain careful notes and follow instructions precisely.
