LJA Engineering in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Party Chief for surveying field work. You will transport and set up instruments, prepare sites for survey, and support daily field operations across multiple project sites.

Proficiency with Trimble or Topcon GPS, level loops, and data transfers to CAD is required. Strong communication and client relationship skills help you coordinate teams and document field notes effectively.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills both oral and written.
• Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external clients.
• HS Graduate or GED.

Responsibilities

• Transport and set up surveying instruments and prepare sites for survey.
• Operate Trimble or Topcon GPS and robotic total stations with data collectors.
• Run level loops for vertical control on topographic surveys in parking areas and along roads.
• Prepare sketches and field notes describing property boundaries.
• Locate property corners and document measurements with photos.
• Upload text files to data collectors and create CAD-ready data.
