Job summary

Building One Community (B1C) in Stamford, CT seeks an Outreach Coordinator for part-time, 20 hours weekly to expand awareness and connect immigrants and families with programs and services. The role involves field-based outreach, tabling, events, and collaborations with program teams to promote offerings and gather community insights.

Evening and weekend hours may be required. Fluent in Spanish and English preferred; strong organizational and presentation skills are required for effective

Qualifications

• Fluency in Spanish and English with written and verbal communication skills.
• Associate's or bachelor's degree in Human Services, Community Engagement, or related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Minimum of two years of experience in community outreach or nonprofit work.
• Experience working with diverse communities and public presentations.
• Reliable transportation for regular travel to community sites and events.

Responsibilities

• Implement outreach activities to increase awareness of B1C and connect immigrants with programs.
• Maintain a presence in priority communities and promote programs through local networks.
• Support participant recruitment and engagement via grassroots outreach and events.
• Represent B1C at community fairs, meetings, and other gatherings; deliver presentations.
• Gather feedback through surveys and conversations; share insights with teams.
• Identify outreach opportunities and track activities to assess effectiveness.
• Collaborate with program, development, and communications teams on priorities.
• Assist in planning major events and community engagement initiatives.
• Maintain organized records of outreach activities and contacts.
