Job summary

QE Solar seeks a highly motivated Utility Field Operations Manager to lead field operations supporting utility-scale solar and battery storage assets across North America. You will oversee field personnel, contractor coordination, safety compliance, maintenance execution, and customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate is a strong operational leader with utility-scale solar experience, excellent communication, and the ability to drive accountability, safety, and execution across geographically

Qualifications

• 3+ years in utility-scale solar operations and maintenance.
• 2+ years leadership managing field teams or contractors.
• Strong knowledge of PV systems, BESS, SCADA, MV, and BOS equipment.
• OSHA 30 and NFPA 70E familiarity.
• Ability to read electrical diagrams and technical documents.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operations and maintenance across utility-scale solar, BESS, substations, MV/HV, and BOS assets.
• Lead Plant Managers responsible for sites and ensure PM/CM completion, safety meetings, and customer-ready documentation.
• Coordinate with internal engineering, ROC/control center, asset management, safety, and subcontractors to resolve site issues.
• Monitor work order progression, backlog, and documentation quality; drive reliability and cost control.
• Provide coaching and leadership development for Plant Managers and site personnel.
• Support workforce planning, outages, contractor mobilization, staffing, and resource allocation.
