Job summary

QE Solar is seeking a motivated Utility Field Operations Manager to lead field operations for utility-scale solar and BESS assets across North America. The role oversees field personnel, contractor coordination, safety compliance, maintenance execution, and customer satisfaction across a diverse asset portfolio.

The ideal candidate has strong operational leadership in utility-scale solar, excellent communication, and the ability to drive accountability and safety across geographically dispersed

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in utility-scale solar operations and maintenance.
• Leadership experience managing field teams or regional operations.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA safety standards, LOTO, NFPA 70E, and renewable energy field operations.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and technical documentation.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee field operations across utility-scale solar, BESS, substation, MV/HV, and balance-of-plant assets.
• Lead Plant Managers responsible for sites and ensure maintenance, inspections, outages, and documentation.
• Coordinate with engineering, ROC/control center, asset management, safety, and subcontractors to resolve site issues and maintain asset performance.
• Drive safety leadership, site safety expectations, toolbox talks, LOTO, JHAs, and safe work execution.
• Monitor maintenance work orders, PM/CM progress, and reporting to ensure customer readiness.
