Barnhart Energy Company is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee daily field operations at the Elkhart branch, ensuring efficient execution of jobs, optimal use of labor and equipment, and strict safety compliance.

Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will develop field personnel, support sales initiatives, and drive continuous improvement in operational efficiency and profitability.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of industrial experience (rigging and/or power generation experience is a plus).
• Strong leadership skills with a passion for developing others
• Ability to stay organized, juggle priorities, and adapt in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Experience training or mentoring others, both formally and on the job
• Ability to pass a drug screen, fit‑for‑duty exam, and background check
• College degree preferred

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Branch Manager to oversee daily operations.
• Lead, coach, and develop field personnel.
• Coordinate job schedules, equipment, and resources.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, safety, and profitability.
• Collaborate with sales to support customer needs.
• Ensure compliance with DOT, SOPs, and quality tracking.
• Oversee training plans and provide tools and knowledge.
• Meet or exceed branch performance and monthly metrics.
