Job summary

Summit Midstream Corporation in North Dakota is seeking a Field Operator to inspect, maintain, and repair gathering facilities, pipelines, and LACT units under supervision. You will ensure safety, operational reliability, and regulatory compliance while coordinating with field crews.

Candidates should have a high school diploma and 0–2+ years in pipelines; basic knowledge of line location equipment; ability to read drawings; and a valid driver license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–2+ years of general pipeline experience in the natural gas industry or related field.
• Basic knowledge and experience with line location equipment and techniques.
• Ability to identify pipes and valves and what they do.
• Read and utilize drawings, schematics, and alignment sheets.
• Basic understanding of pigging operations and safety procedures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; valid driver license.

Responsibilities

• Check wind direction, muster points, evacuation routes and safety procedures on site.
• On-call responsibility for areas of responsibility as needed.
• Maintain knowledge of OSHA, DOT and other regulatory requirements and document activities.
• Work independently as liaison between Summit Midstream and landowners, responders and contractors.
• Operate and assist in maintenance at LACT facilities, monitor pressures and head pressure.
• Perform pipeline patrols and coordinate crews at other locations.
• Use hand tools to remove or replace valves and understand riser locations.
• Maintain forms, records and reports; respond to pipeline emergencies.
