Job summary

The City of Shreveport seeks a Supervisor for field operations who will assist the Zone Manager and oversee crews, safety programs, and documentation. You will schedule work, inspect projects, and help prepare budgets and CIP plans. You’ll also ensure safety training and maintain CMMS records.

This role requires strong leadership, clerical reporting, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Some training and certifications may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Associates degree or two-year vocational degree plus required years of experience.
• Experience in managing activities and employees in water/sewer facilities or equivalent.
• Possession or ability to obtain Water Distribution and Wastewater Collection Certificates (Louisiana).

Responsibilities

• Assist the Zone Manager and supervise field crews; schedule and assign work.
• Inspect contractor projects and capital improvement planning; prepare reports.
• Support budget estimates and monitoring of approved funds; on-call duties 24/7.
• Ensure safety practices and train new team members; maintain CMMS records.
• Update work orders, measure performance, and drive continuous improvement.
