Job summary

UES in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Dispatcher to coordinate daily job assignments and optimize the scheduling of Field Engineering Technicians to ensure timely service delivery and operational efficiency.

The Dispatcher will serve as the primary contact for client requests, utilizing dispatching software to align deployments with project needs, location, and availability. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential for prioritizing in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• 1–3 years of related training and/or experience with an AEC firm preferred.
• Computer skills to operate a laptop and learn FDC software.
• Knowledge of standard field and laboratory procedures.
• Adaptability and flexibility to changing schedules.
• Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to read, write, and interpret procedures, manuals, and reports.
• Mathematical skills for basic calculations.

Responsibilities

• Communicate professionally with client representatives via phone and email for job assignments.
• Document conversations with clients and prepare work orders.
• Coordinate job assignments using dispatching software to maximize production and minimize travel time.
• Manage the scheduling, deployment, and Time Off usage of all Field Technicians.
• Organizes laboratory sample retrieval and notifies the Laboratory Supervisor of pending rushes.
• Maintains log of Nuclear equipment checked in or out, and distributes dosimeter badges to Technicians.
• Assist the Productivity Project Manager with word orders and Technician paperwork issues.
• Obtain and organize all purchase orders prior to scheduling Technicians.
• Adhering and abiding to all safety procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
