Job summary

Action Logistics, Inc. is seeking an experienced Field Operations & Safety Advisor to support our growing network of customer operations.

This is not a traditional office-based safety role; we want someone with a strong operations background who understands warehouse, distribution, transportation, managed labor, or 3PL/4PL environments. The ideal candidate has led operations, managed employees and performance, worked directly with customers, and knows how to improve safety while maintaining

Qualifications

• 5+ years of leadership experience in warehouse, distribution, transportation, or 3PL/4PL ops.
• Direct responsibility for employees and operational results such as safety and productivity.
• Experience in customer-owned or customer-controlled operations.
• Experience managing tough ops or safety discussions with customers/leaders outside your reporting line.
• Strong communication, coaching, and practical problem-solving skills.
• Ability to build credibility and influence others without formal authority.
• Willing to spend most of the role in active customer operations.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer locations to support operational safety and risk improvement.
• Work with site managers, supervisors, employees, and customer leadership.
• Identify safety concerns and risks within active warehouse and distribution environments.
• Develop practical solutions that fit real operating conditions.
• Coach and mentor site managers and supervisors on safety and ops challenges.
• Review incidents and trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Support incident prevention, root-cause review, and corrective action.
• Help leadership improve ownership on safety concerns.
• Collaborate with customer reps when facility or workflow affects safety.
• Support new operations, struggling locations, and other field needs.
• Influence leaders without direct authority and escalate major concerns when needed.
