Job summary

AWP Safety is seeking a Field Supervisor to lead 40+ field protectors, support area and general management initiatives, and drive continuous improvement across safety, quality, and customer service. The role blends on-site field work with office coordination, emphasizing strong communication, coaching, and field-experience growth.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of supervisor experience and building teams with 30+ team members.
• 4-year degree in a business-related field is a plus but not required.
• High School Diploma or GED completion required.
• Must be able to connect with field-level customers and contacts.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct leadership for 40+ field protectors (field based crews).
• Support the Area Manager and General Manager in managing initiatives.
• Collaborate daily with Area Staff to drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain Field (80%) and Office (20%) responsibilities.
• Ensure safety, quality, training, employee engagement, and retention standards.
• Protect team members, customers, and assets through safe work practices.
• Coach, motivate, and develop assigned team of protectors.
• Develop relationships with customers to achieve goals and new opportunities.
• Perform job site and vehicle inspections, attend pre-bid meetings, meet with clients, and work in the field as needed.
• Address customer service issues promptly while providing high-level service.
• Assist in preparing daily schedules.
• Monitor payroll, timekeeping, benefits, and training requirements.
• Facilitate teambuilding and regular communications with team members.
• Engage and support training to reduce turnover and costs.
• Obtain ATSSA and state-specific certifications.
• Become SME in work zone setup/design and flagging.
