Job summary

Avantus is seeking a Manager of Field Operations to represent the company on construction projects in California. You will lead field teams, ensure safety and quality, and coordinate with EPC contractors and project managers.

This role requires 5+ years in construction management, strong leadership and relationship skills, and up to 75% travel with preferred experience in battery storage and high voltage projects. Competitive benefits and salary are provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience in construction management.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in construction management roles, civil/structural/electrical focus preferred.
• Experience managing large solar PV construction projects, over 100 MW preferred.
• Ability to manage relationships and communicate across field and corporate teams.
• Travel – 75% of time. Battery storage and high voltage construction experience preferred.
• Commissioning experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Represent Avantus in the field on select projects and ensure safety, quality, and company standards.
• Determine workforce needs for supervision on construction projects.
• Build and maintain relationships with on-site workforce and construction management companies.
• Ensure field personnel are briefed on safety, quality, production and company expectations.
• Oversee audits, safety and quality reports, and ensure proper EPC contractor coordination.
• Coordinate with Project Managers on billing and invoicing by EPC contractors.
• Possibly support site visits, inspections, punch lists and reporting.
