Job summary

84 Lumber is hiring immediately for the Field Operations Manager, an entry-level management role that offers hands-on experience in store operations and a path to leadership within the company. You will complete a learning plan and training for 2–3 months at your home location, then travel to 84 Lumber sites nationwide.

Travel will account for 95%+ of your time, with 5–12 day assignments; flights, rental cars, and hotels are arranged and paid by the Travel Department.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED-equivalent.
• Availability: Full-time schedule (48+ hours/week).
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Supporting product handling and retail sales operations.
• Freight handling, forklift operation and certification.
• Managing merchandising, inventory control, and reduction initiatives.
• Creating material estimates from blueprints.
• Assisting with special projects to address staffing and operational needs.
