Job summary

FOX Sports is seeking a Manager, Field Operations to lead end-to-end logistics for live events in the Los Angeles area. You will supervise field staff, coordinate with vendors and internal teams, and ensure on-site execution aligns with production priorities.

The role requires 3+ years in live sports or broadcast operations, strong budgeting skills, and the ability to travel 30–60% yearly to support events. A proactive, organizational, and decisive leader will thrive in this dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of management experience in live sports, broadcast, or event operations.
• Experience managing multi-site or multi-event logistics on a seasonal schedule.
• Experience coordinating with vendors, venues, and external partners in a live event environment.
• Working knowledge of event budgets, invoicing, and cost tracking.
• Proficient in spreadsheet, writing, and presentation programs like MS Office and Google Suite, alongside online collaboration tools like Smartsheet, Playbook, and Slack.
• Ability to manage time-sensitive communications across large and regionally diverse groups at all hours.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple concurrent events and shifting priorities.
• Sound judgment under pressure, with the ability to make quick decisions on-site and escalate appropriately.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end logistics and on-site execution for assigned events, working within the operational strategy and production priorities.
• Coordinate facility logistics, resource scheduling, crew assignments, vendor coordination, and contingency planning.
• Build and manage event crew grids and support crewing needs by event.
• Serve as the operational contact for Field Technical Managers, Operations Managers, crews, and production on assigned properties.
• Provide input on staffing models and process gaps to inform planning.
• Process vendor invoices, monitor costs, flag variances, and compare vendor quotes.
• Maintain relationships with vendors, venue staff, and operations contacts to keep events running smoothly.
• Update SOPs and documentation; suggest improvements based on field experience.
• Drive workflow, process, and tech changes across events and support rollout with field teams.
• Coordinate across departments to resolve issues and keep stakeholders informed.
• Identify recurring problems and propose fixes; contribute to post-event reporting.
• Coach coordinators and crews, promoting accountability and service.
• Travel 30–60% throughout the year for on-site oversight.
