Job description

Overview

At FOX Experiences + Design, boldness fuels our passion. We ignite awareness and forge meaningful connections across FOX’s diverse brands and our audiences through meticulously crafted, impactful experiences. We are an internal brand engagement and experience agency providing strategy, creative solutions, and measurable deliverables in events, activations, design, and technology to all divisions of FOX Corporation, including FOX Entertainment, FOX Sports, TUBI, Ad Sales, FOX News, Distribution, and FOX Corporate.

We have a great opportunity for an Event Manager. We’re looking for a strategically creative thinker—the definition of a team player—who possesses creative problem-solving ability, is detail-oriented, and is innovative to provide elevated and meaningful engagements that create and maintain strong connections with stakeholders and internal teams within the FOX Family. Someone who can manage a budget, has experience managing stakeholders, and can work cross-functionally.

Responsibilities
  • Support event strategy development across events and activations through research and ideation.
  • Manage event playbooks, creating workback schedules, DACI, invoice tracking, and budget reporting.
  • Manage rooming lists and travel manifests with oversight.
  • Manage the budget reporting process including event recaps, billing, and debriefs to all relevant teams and stakeholders.
  • Create measurable goals that are project-, department-, and individually-specific.
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage successful, on-budget small to mid-size in-person and virtual experiences, corporate meetings, presentations, hospitality and executive engagement programs, and other as-needed engagements.
  • Communicate clearly and collaborate with FED Technology and Design teams, with a basic understanding of technical event needs, graphic specs, and production to ensure alignment on scope and goals.
  • Provide support and guidance throughout the planning process.
  • Negotiate vendor agreements; manage all event logistics including food & beverage, rentals, layouts, rooming lists, and parking.
  • Establish marketing metrics to inform stakeholders on best practices and deliver results.
  • Develop and nurture external industry connections and relationships that benefit FOX's experiential initiatives.
  • Support the development of external partnerships and event sponsorships.
  • Support senior business leads on larger-scale events, meetings, and hospitality programs, both domestic and international, as needed.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of hands-on and supervisory experience in corporate events or with a large agency.
  • Experience in the media and the entertainment industry, specifically at a network or studio.
  • Experience working on B2B events.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of restaurants and venues, with positive relationships with relevant vendors.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Google Suite, Monday.com, basic database applications, internet searches, AI tools, and prompt engineering as applicable.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline oriented environment, and make quick decisions under pressure when needed.
  • Ability to communicate deliverables ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to work overtime and many days during a project as required.
  • Ability to work in the office a minimum of 4 days per week, when not onsite or traveling for events.
  • Ability to travel approximately 20%.
  • Willingness to assist with packing, unpacking, and lifting boxes, setting up a production office, and standing for extended periods on-site.
