Job summary

FOX Sports is seeking a hands-on Remote Engineering & Operations leader in Los Angeles to drive technical initiatives end-to-end, from on-site testing and integration to vendor coordination and milestone delivery.

You will own schedules, build specifications, and lead major capital projects while aligning with security and engineering standards. Expect heavy travel during events and football season.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in broadcast or live production engineering, with at least one or two leading projects or people.
• Track record of getting technical projects across the line including vendor follow-through and lead times.
• Hands-on capability across IP video infrastructure (ST 2110, JPEG XS), RF and wireless camera systems, transmission, and remote production workflows.

Responsibilities

• Drive active technical initiatives to milestones with on-site tests, vendor coordination, and a live date for every card.
• Escalate calls needing executive judgment quickly to avoid project stalls.
• Produce specifications, equipment lists, and build calendars early for procurement against real lead times.
• Support major capital projects from requirements through commissioning with integration and procurement teams.
• Apply and document engineering standards and ensure new builds meet them.
• Capture and log any exceptions to standards instead of letting them erode.
• Own status reporting for the portfolio, including risks, decisions needed, and deadlines.
• Act as Field Operations contact with information security, own the security dashboard, and drive remediation to closure.
• Give every initiative a next milestone and date, surface stalled items, and drive timely completion.
• Stand up status reporting that partners rely on.
• Get technical requirements to integration and logistics within lead times, consistently.
• Document current engineering standards with exceptions logged.
• Take ownership of the security dashboard and remediation cadence.
• Relieve senior engineers to allow architectural work to progress.
