Rasmussen Mechanical Services—RMS Lincoln Location—is hiring an Operations Manager to lead daily location field operations, technician support, service coordination, safety, quality, and profitability. You’ll shape dispatch decisions, mentor staff, and partner with the Location Manager to run the show.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, walking the floor, and driving results in a family-owned, growth-focused environment with depth across HVAC, boilers, and mechanical construction.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of personnel supervision and management experience.
• 3+ years in a customer service or field service environment.
• Track record of leading field technicians, service coordinators, or dispatch operations.
• Comfortable with job costing, scheduling, and productivity metrics.
• Strong communicator who leads by presence, not just by email.
• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Valid driver's license; able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Own the daily rhythm of the location field operations, technician support, service coordination, safety, quality, and profitability.
• Back up the Service Coordinator and ensure dispatch decisions are effective and timely.
• Support field technicians with parts, tools, and information to complete jobs right the first time.
• Manage on-call rotations and emergency dispatch to keep customers up and running.
• Coach and develop staff and build a strong bench for the location's future.
• Review job costing, timesheets, and field reports for profitability and productivity.
