Job description

Our client is a growing service organization entering an important stage of expansion and is looking for a hands-on Field Operations Manager to help build the structure, leadership, and operating discipline needed for its next chapter. This is an opportunity to take ownership of both field execution and front-office operations, develop a growing team, improve processes, and directly influence how the business scales. For a leader who enjoys developing people, solving operational challenges, and building systems rather than simply maintaining them, this role offers meaningful visibility and impact.

This Role Offers:
  • Competitive salary based on experience with performance-based bonus potential.
  • Company vehicle or vehicle allowance and company phone.
  • Paid time off and paid holidays.
  • High-impact leadership role with direct influence over people, processes, customer experience, and operational performance.
  • Career growth potential alongside an expanding field service organization.
Focus:
  • Lead daily operations across field crews and front-office support teams, ensuring strong coordination from customer intake through service completion.
  • Coach and develop technicians, field leaders, and customer-facing office employees while reinforcing clear expectations, accountability, and professional growth.
  • Manage scheduling and dispatch strategy, balancing staffing, project requirements, travel, equipment availability, and customer commitments.
  • Build and improve SOPs that strengthen workflows across sales handoffs, scheduling, field execution, documentation, and operational follow-through.
  • Monitor labor, job costs, productivity, quality, and project performance, taking corrective action when execution or profitability falls short of expectations.
  • Partner with sales to evaluate project scopes, capacity, staffing requirements, timelines, and operational feasibility before work moves into production.
  • Maintain high standards for safety, workmanship, customer experience, fleet and equipment readiness, and resolution of escalated service issues.
  • Use performance data and frontline observations to remove bottlenecks, improve efficiency, strengthen team performance, and build scalable operating infrastructure.
Skill Set:
  • 3+ years of operations, field service, construction, HVAC, restoration, facilities, or related management experience, including supervision of field employees and multiple simultaneous projects.
  • Strong people leadership with demonstrated ability in communication, coaching, employee development, accountability, and conflict resolution.
  • Experience managing both field technicians and office, customer service, scheduling, or administrative personnel.
  • Working knowledge of scheduling, dispatch, job costing, labor management, quality control, and operational process improvement.
  • Experience developing or improving SOPs and coordinating an effective sales-to-operations handoff.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to lead effectively in a fast-moving service environment.
  • Comfortable using field service technology, scheduling tools, spreadsheets, mobile applications, and performance reporting to manage operations.
  • Experience in HVAC, restoration, commercial services, specialty cleaning, facilities, or another technician-driven service environment is highly valued, with bilingual English and Spanish skills considered a plus.
