Job summary

Core & Main in St. Louis is seeking an Operations & Training Specialist to support onboarding, coaching, development, and operational excellence across an assigned territory. You will work with branch and regional leadership to drive consistent processes and ensure adoption of ERP and operating technology.

Responsibilities include hands-on training sessions, coaching, and tracking progress, with collaboration across learning teams to improve performance and efficiency. Travel 30-75% is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with Core & Main, ideally in a sales focused or supporting role.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and collaboration platforms (Teams/SharePoint).
• Ability to analyze performance data to identify gaps and drive improvements.
• Ability to manage deadlines, multi-task and operate in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work cohesively with all stakeholders and trainees.

Responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on training, coaching, and development for Inside Sales Representatives and other operational associates.
• Support new hire onboarding and accelerate productivity through structured programs.
• Drive adoption of ERP and operating systems across branches.
• Collaborate with branch and regional leadership to address knowledge or process gaps.
• Assist with warehouse operations training and reinforce best practices.
• Conduct branch visits to observe workflows and suggest improvements.
• Facilitate classroom, virtual, and on-the-job training; support change management efforts.
• Track training progress and provide feedback to leadership to improve performance.
