Job summary

Transdev in Fairfax County, VA, seeks a Field Supervisor in Herndon to oversee day-to-day field operations with a strong emphasis on safety and customer service. The role requires coordinating operators' scheduling and staffing while upholding company policies and DOT regulations.

The Field Supervisor will lead a team, perform ride checks, resolve operational issues, read maps, and interpret transit rules across a dynamic urban environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in a leadership role.
• Ability to secure Class B CDL with P endorsement.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• DOT drug testing and physical may apply.
• Must be able to work shifts and outdoors/indoors.

Responsibilities

• Manage Operators scheduling & staffing of routes.
• Provide leadership to build and maintain a strong team through effective communication, appraisal, training, and coaching.
• Perform Operator safety evaluation ride checks, investigate and respond to situations, resolve operational issues.
• Read maps, interpret transit operating rules and policies.
• Other duties as required.
