Job summary

AWP Safety, Inc. is seeking a Field Supervisor in Nashville to lead 30+ field-based protectors and support Area/General Managers. The role combines field leadership with office coordination and a focus on safety, quality, and team development.

You will develop customer relationships, perform site inspections, and participate in pre-bid activities while upholding the company values of ownership and teamwork. AWP offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in a business-related field is a plus but not required.
• High School Diploma or GED completion required.
• 1-2 years of supervisor experience and building teams with 20+ team members.
• Must be able to connect with field-level customers and contacts.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to build and maintain working relationships with your team.
• Contributes to the engagement and ongoing development of AWP Safety employees.
• Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office products and customer relationship management systems.
• Must adhere to and promote safe workplace practices.
• Valid drivers’ license and ability to meet AWP Safety driver standards.

Responsibilities

• Direct leadership for 30+ field-based protectors.
• Support Area and General Managers in initiatives.
• Collaborate with Area Staff for continuous improvement.
• Field (80%) and Office (20%) responsibilities.
• Ensure safety, quality, training, engagement and retention standards.
• Protect team, customers and assets through safe practices.
• Coach and develop assigned team of protectors.
• Develop relationships with customers to achieve goals and opportunities.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and work in the field with the team as needed.
• Address customer service issues promptly with high standards of service.
• Assist in preparing daily schedules.
• Monitor payroll, timekeeping, benefits, and training needs.
• Facilitate teambuilding and regular communications.
• Support training of new and current employees to reduce turnover.
• Obtain ATSSA and state-specific certifications.
• Become a subject matter expert in work zone setup/design and flagging.
• Other duties as assigned
