Job summary

Valcourt Group is seeking a Superintendent to plan, organize, and oversee daily field operations across multiple trades on assigned projects. You will direct Foremen and crews, enforce safety protocols, and manage project schedules, budgets, and quality control to meet client expectations.

The role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with extensive field experience and knowledge of OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 5+ years construction field experience or related supervisory role.
• Valid CA driver’s license with insurable record.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents, plans, JHAs, RFIs, RFCs, and budgets.
• Strong English (verbal/written) communication.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Excel, and project management/scheduling software.
• Knowledge of safety protocols, OSHA, incident investigation, and HR compliance.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and coordinate day-to-day field activities per project schedule.
• Direct and lead field crews and Foremen; delegate tasks as needed.
• Ensure safety compliance, PPE use, and hazard control; conduct tailgate meetings.
• Review and process RFIs, RFCs, submittals, and change orders with PM/Coordinator.
• Manage crew hours, material procurement, and on-site problem resolution.
• Coordinate with Project Manager weekly on administrative tasks and billing projections.
