Job summary

Ruppert Landscape is seeking an Assistant Field Manager to support the Field Manager in managing labor and materials for contract maintenance and snow removal projects. The role includes developing staff, ensuring projects meet budgeted hours, and maintaining equipment.

Successful candidates will develop their team, participate in regular training, and help ensure customer satisfaction and contract renewals while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience performing contract maintenance in a commercial setting.
• Two- or four-year degree in horticulture or related field with two years of industry experience; additional industry certifications ok.
• Knowledge of vehicles and equipment used in contract maintenance and snow removal.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and supervise daily production activities on assigned contracts.
• Develop understanding of hourly and cost budgets; monitor hours, reports and costs, and communicate budget hours to crewmembers.
• Attend or conduct certification training sessions regularly as part of the training process.
• Monitor quality of work and address issues with the customer by inspecting the job at the end of each day.
• Maintain assigned vehicle and equipment in good working order.
