Job summary

ACCIONA Energía in Georgia seeks an Assistant Superintendent to support field operations on the SR400 Express Lanes corridor, coordinating with the General Superintendent to meet GDOT standards, schedules, and safety requirements. You will assist in coordinating daily activities, managing subcontractors, and maintaining quality across scopes.

Requirements: 5+ years in heavy civil construction, 2+ years in supervision, a BS in Construction Management or Civil Engineering (or equivalent), and

Qualifications

• 5+ years in heavy civil construction with 2+ years in a supervisory role.
• Experience on highway/bridge projects preferred; GDOT or Southeastern DOT experience is a plus.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering (or equivalent experience).
• Knowledge of GDOT specifications, safety standards, and traffic control requirements.
• Familiarity with project management software and documentation tools (Procore, HCSS).

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating work across multiple segments of the corridor.
• Collaborate with Project Controls and Scheduling to maintain alignment with the Primavera P6 baseline schedule and look-aheads.
• Monitor and support construction activities in compliance with GDOT TP Attachments.
• Serve as liaison between field crews and project management.
• Help enforce safety standards and participate in safety audits.
• Assist in reviewing subcontractor work plans, schedules, and material/equipment needs.
• Support daily reporting of progress, manpower, and equipment utilization.
• Participate in coordination meetings and resolve field issues promptly.
• Ensure compliance with environmental and traffic control plans.
• Assist with quality control documentation per GDOT SRTA requirements.
