Job summary

Hoar Construction seeks an Assistant Superintendent to support the Superintendent and Senior Superintendent on one or more construction projects. You will help coordinate crews, plan procedures, and ensure subcontract work meets specifications, with travel up to 100% of the time.

Responsibilities include monitoring schedule and budget, coordinating with subcontractors, inspecting safety, reading documents, and documenting progress.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• 2–5 years construction experience or college graduate.
• Knowledge of scheduling, cost control, and safety procedures.
• General Computer skills (MS Office).
• Valid Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Superintendents with monitoring project schedule and budget.
• Coordinate with subcontractors' office for recovery plans.
• Coordinate daily operational objectives, timelines, and goals.
• Inspect work progress to verify safety and specs.
• Read construction documents to plan procedures.
• Record and maintain information and produce reports.
• Conduct periodic job site safety inspections and audits.
• Represent Hoar in job site progress meetings.
• Act as jobsite superintendent in absence of lead.
• Communicate progress and deliveries clearly with all parties.
• Coordinate and manage workforce needed to complete projects.
• Clearly communicate goals and expectations to crew members.
