Job summary

Hoar seeks a Construction Superintendent to support the General or Senior Superintendent in overseeing one or more operational areas on a construction project. The role may travel up to 100% and coordinates multiple crews, plans procedures, and ensures subcontract work meets specifications.

You will monitor progress, manage schedules and budgets with Senior Superintendents, review safety practices, and produce routine reports while enabling successful project delivery in varying environments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5-7 years in construction management and 1 project as Superintendent.
• Knowledge of scheduling, cost control and safety procedures.
• Knowledge of crafts including carpentry, concrete, structural steel, and interior build-outs.
• Experience leading a diverse field team.
• General computer skills (MS Office).
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage daily field operational objectives, timelines, and goals.
• Monitor progress of a project and work site for consistency, efficiency, and quality.
• Assist in monitoring project schedule and budget and coordinate with subcontractors for recovery plans.
• Read construction documents to determine requirements or plan procedures.
• Record and maintain information and produce reports such as personnel, production, project logs, status, and other data.
• Manage site safety by walking the site, inspections, training and meetings with staff and subcontractors.
