Job summary

The City of Maypearl seeks a Capital Projects Field Operations Specialist to perform daily on-site observations of municipal infrastructure and facility construction projects, ensuring compliance with approved plans, specifications, codes, and safety standards. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 5 years of construction field experience.
• Valid Texas Driver's License.
• Experience with QA/QC in construction or engineering.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering plans and specs.
• OSHA 10-hour certification preferred or obtainable upon hire.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily on-site field observations of capital projects for plan, specifications, codes and safety/environmental standards.
• Monitor and track installation for water, sewer, drainage, roadways, utilities, parks and public facilities.
• Provide technical support including QA/QC, cost estimate review, and design/construction standard updates.
• Maintain detailed documentation of field conditions, project progress, and daily reports.
• Enforce quality control by identifying deficiencies, communicating corrective actions, and assisting with closeout and warranty activities.
• Coordinate field testing of materials and workmanship while reviewing results for specification compliance.
• Review construction drawings, submittals, RFIs and contribute to constructability reviews.
• Assist with contract administration by verifying material quantities and reviewing change orders.
• Serve as the primary field liaison to stakeholders and participate in design, pre-construction, progress, and site coordination meetings.
