The J.M. Smucker Co. offers a Field Operations & Grower Representative Intern position in Oxnard, CA.

You will coordinate field fruit deliveries, interact with growers, and help ensure on-time processing and proper crate/pallet management. This onsite internship runs late March through August and requires Spanish, strong communication, and leadership skills. Qualifications

• Be currently enrolled in a 4-year degree program (Food Science, Logistics or Agri-Business majors highly desired).
• Ability to read, write and speak Spanish required.
• Available late March through end of August.
• Able to work weekends, overtime, and night shifts.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Determine daily crate volume using on-site ranch estimates and adjust as needed.
• Pass information to processing and plant managers for next-day planning.
• Schedule trucking to collect fruit for timely delivery to Oxnard plant.
• Coordinate grower deliveries to ensure same-day processing.
• Inspect and audit grower field practices and ensure proper documentation.
• Take fruit samples for lab evaluation and support QC activities.
• Maintain crate and pallet inventories at receiving stations and ensure cleanliness.
• Resolve discrepancies with weight tags and grading sheets with plant staff.
