Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and two years of related experience.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and obtain a CDL - Class A within 120 days of hire.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• If assigned to Right of Way, must obtain Herbicide Application License within one year of hire.
• Proficiency in setting and shooting grades using a transit or laser level.
• Experience operating heavy and light equipment and related tools.
• Ability to use a computer for timekeeping or work order processing; proficient with standard office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform supervisory responsibilities including interviewing, hiring, training, assigning work, and evaluating performance.
• Exercise independent on-site judgment to resolve unforeseen problems.
• Read and comprehend drawings for streets, sidewalks, trails, and drainage.
• Supervise materials, personnel, and equipment to complete projects.
• Operate equipment to perform department tasks and maintain tools and vehicles.
