candidates must obtain a Class B CDL within 120 days, communicate effectively, and be able to lift up to 100 pounds. Snow removal and traffic control duties are common tasks.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required; related experience or training is expected.
• Must possess or obtain a valid Class B CDL within 120 days of hire.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment such as backhoe, front end loader, skid loaders, dump truck, salt truck, and slipform paver.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.
• Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds and work in varying weather conditions.

Responsabilidades

• Provide good customer service to internal and external customers and maintain positive working relationships with City employees.
• Supervise Maintenance III and other workers in absence of the Crew Leader or lead workers.
• Operate heavy construction equipment listed in the qualifications.
• Assist with basic sidewalk, street, trail, and drainage construction.
• Perform basic carpentry and concrete finishing tasks.
• Move equipment and materials to and from job sites.
• Maintain equipment through daily maintenance and grease applications.
• Perform snow and ice removal and traffic control as needed.
• Perform other duties related to Transportation and Operations divisions.
