National Railroad Safety Services, Inc. (NRSS) is seeking an Employee in Charge (EIC) to provide essential on-track safety services for freight railroads, transit systems, state DOTs, and rail industry partners.

The role requires safety-focused individuals capable of working on railroad rights-of-way in Lakewood, NJ. The EIC must travel extensively (50%–85%), set up safety measures, coordinate with crews, and ensure compliance with railroad and federal policies.

Qualifications

• Requires proficiency with tablets, smartphones and communication tools used to coordinate train movements.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Responsabilités

• Provide On-Track Safety, such as setup of derails, track signs and safety tools.
• Prepare daily field reports and report rule violations.
• Provide job-site coordination and radio contact with Dispatchers and Train Crews.
• Conduct clear and thorough job briefings before they enter the track.
• Enforce all Railroad, State, and Federal Policies.
