Job summary

Kiewit’s South Central District in Westlake, TX offers an Office Engineer Intern internship that provides hands-on learning in construction management. You will develop, participate in, and learn key roles within field engineering, planning, scheduling, cost control, and supervision during the summer.

The program exposes you to heavy civil projects across Texas. The opportunity to relocate as needed, emphasis on safety and ethics, and aim to set you up for a successful full‑time construction

Qualifications

• Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• Willing to travel or relocate as needed.
• Available to work full-time during the summer (May–August).

Responsibilities

• Field engineering, project planning, and cost control.
• Scheduling, quantity tracking, and material procurement.
• Contract administration, estimating, and supervision of field activities.
• Collaborate with suppliers to facilitate material delivery.
• Maintain progress records and report costs and material usage.
