Job summary

Kiewit invites students in civil engineering or construction management to join our South Central District internship program. You will gain hands-on experience in field engineering, project planning, and cost control across transportation and heavy civil projects in the South Central region.

Qualifications

Pursuing civil engineering, construction management or related degree.
Willing to travel or relocate as needed.
Available for full-time summer work (May–August).
Access to construction site areas and varied climates.

Responsibilities

Field engineering, operation planning, cost control, project scheduling, and supervision of field activities.
Perform engineering tasks using standard techniques and address minor technical problems.
Maintain records of progress, costs, material usage, etc.
Plan and schedule job segments.
Investigate problems and propose solutions.
Review plans and material quantities and pricing.
Coordinate with suppliers to expedite materials.
