Qualifications

• Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in civil engineering, construction management or related
• Willing to travel or relocate as needed
• Full-time during the summer (May–August)
• Able to access construction sites in varying climates and environments
• Demonstrated ethics, safety focus and strong work ethic

Responsibilities

• Field engineering, operation planning, cost control, project scheduling, quantity tracking, material procurement, contract administration, estimating & supervision of field activities
• Performing engineering tasks requiring standard techniques and handling minor problems of a technical nature arising during construction
• Maintaining records regarding job progress, costs, material usage
• Planning and scheduling of job segments
• Investigating problems and recommending solutions
• Reviewing plans and specifications to determine material requirements and pricing
• Collaborating with suppliers to facilitate material delivery and expediting as needed
