Job summary

Kiewit Bridge & Marine District in Vancouver, Washington, invites a motivated Office Engineer Intern to gain hands-on construction management experience across civil, marine, and industrial projects. You will review shop drawings, submittals, schedules, and documentation while supporting cost control and scheduling.

This internship emphasizes safety, initiative, reliability, and clear communication; relocation may be required.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an undergrad/grad degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field.
• Willing to relocate and travel as needed.
• Available to work full-time during the summer (May–August).
• Demonstrated ethics, integrity, and safety mindset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; team player.

Responsibilities

• Build, estimate, and schedule civil, grading, utilities, roadway, and structural construction with a team.
• Review shop drawings, submittals, schedules, take-offs, pay requests, and project docs.
• Learn to supervise subcontractors and communicate with vendors.
• Prepare work plans, ensure quality control, and track costs and materials.
• Maintain records of job progress, costs, and material usage.
• Plan and schedule job segments; identify and solve issues.
