Job summary

Kiewit Bridge & Marine is seeking an entry-level Field/Office Engineer to join our Field Operations team in the Pacific Northwest. You will assist in interpreting drawings, support field surveying, and help prepare work plans while gaining hands-on experience on bridge and marine projects.

This role offers strong travel and relocation opportunities, exposure to heavy civil construction, and a pathway to grow into higher-responsibility engineering positions.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in interpretation of drawings and specifications for field crews and craft supervision.
• Perform quantity takeoffs by taking measurements and determining material percentages.
• Assist in the preparation of work plans and work packages.
• Assist in field surveying and work layout support including elevations and control points.
• Assist in processing daily labor timesheets and JHAs.
• Support underground tunneling and construction operation solutions.
• Participate in jobsite safety reviews and toolbox talks.
• Schedule material deliveries and coordinate work groups on site.
• Supervise field operations and assist in cost and change management.
