Job summary

Kiewit’s Bridge & Marine District offers an Intern position that provides hands-on learning in construction management, reviewing shop drawings, submittals, schedules, and project documentation while supporting every phase of a project.

You will work with a diverse team on civil, grading, utilities, roadway, and structural construction; relocation may be required and travel could occur; base pay is $20–$25 per hour.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in civil engineering, construction management or related field.
• Willing to travel/relocate as business requires.
• Ability to work full-time during the summer (May–August).
• Demonstrated ethics and integrity; strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Review shop drawings, submittals, schedules, take-offs, pay requests, contract changes and project documentation.
• Work with a team to build, estimate, and schedule civil, grading, utilities, roadway, and structural construction.
• Learn to supervise subcontractors and communicate with vendors.
• Prepare work plans, maintain records, and ensure safety programs and owner relations.
• Maintain documentation of job progress, costs, and material usage.
