Job summary

Ryan Companies US, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer to join our Midwest team in Des Moines or Cedar Rapids, IA. This position focuses on learning Ryan processes, procedures, and business policies while assisting the project team on designated projects from site and office operations.

You will gain experience with RFIs, shop drawings, vendor coordination, safety policies, and project scheduling as you progress toward a project management or field career path.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction engineering/management required.
• Knowledge of estimating techniques, cost control, and material pricing.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, purchase orders, contracts, and cost-coding systems.

Responsibilities

• Help generate RFIs and track approvals.
• Monitor and maintain shop drawing log and coordination.
• Learn project dimensional control and verify field dimensions.
• Assist in coordination of Vendor and Subcontractor deliveries.
• Learn Ryan Safety Policies and Procedures.
• Understand overall site logistics and permits process.
• Keep plans updated with RFIs and ASIs.
• Record Punchlist items and monitor completion.
• Assist in preparing and updating the project schedule.
