Job summary

Pop-Up Talent in Midland, TX is seeking a Field Network Technician to develop and maintain the company’s field network. You will install, configure, and fix LAN/WAN and related equipment at remote sites to ensure reliable communication.

The role requires 3-5 years of related experience and an Associate’s or Technical degree in Electronics or Computer Science. OTDR/OPM experience and fiber optics knowledge are preferred.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of related industry experience.
• Associate's or Technical degree in Electronics or Computer Science.
• Experience with OTDRs and OPMs.
• Experience using Microsoft Office applications.
• Preferred fiber and applicable hardware/software certifications.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with operations, automation, security, and IT to assess field asset needs.
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot fiber optic data lines and wireless services.
• Install and configure network equipment and devices.
• Interpret OSI Layer 3 design parameters and network drawings.
• Monitor alarms and troubleshoot to prevent outages.
