Job summary

VodafoneThree is seeking a Field Engineer across London regions to install, commission and maintain Vodafone's fixed and mobile network infrastructure. You’ll engage in hands-on work at sites, rooftops and customer locations within a dynamic team in the UK.

The successful candidate will have telecoms experience with mobile technologies, be able to travel and work at height, and be eligible for SC clearance. On-call work and a strong customer focus are required.

Qualifications

• Qualified telecoms or electronics professional or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Experience installing, supporting and troubleshooting telecoms and networking technologies.
• Knowledge of Cisco, Juniper and ADVA equipment, DWDM, Ethernet, 3G/4G/5G, fibre and copper cabling.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission and maintain network equipment to high quality and safety standards.
• Work across technologies including mobile networks, microwave, fibre and copper infrastructure.
• Diagnose and resolve faults with minimal disruption to customers and services.
• Climb towers and work at height with safety certifications upheld.
• Collaborate with field teams, NOC, vendors and customers for successful outcomes.
• Provide professional, customer-focused communication and updates.
• Identify process improvements and contribute to operational excellence.
• Participate in 24/7 callout roters or shifts when required.
• Travel to sites and work flexibly to support business needs.
