Job summary

MISTRAS Group, Inc. is seeking Level II UTT Technicians local to the Greater Houston area for full-time positions.

Candidates must have a High School diploma or equivalent and a specialized NDT program meeting SNT-TC1A for UTT, plus Level II certification or Level I with adequate field hours. The role involves setting up and calibrating equipment, conducting tests with NDT techniques, interpreting and documenting results, and guiding Level I trainees while adhering to applicable codes and

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Graduate of a specialized NDT technical program meeting SNT-TC1A for UTT.
• Prior certification as an NDE Level II with one year experience or prior certification as an NDE Level I with adequate field experience hours to certify to Level II per SNT-TC1A.
• Demonstrated problem solving, timely information analysis.
• Strong oral and written communication; able to speak clearly and persuasively.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate equipment.
• Conduct tests with appropriate NDT technique(s).
• Interpret, evaluate and document results.
• Direct the work of trainees and Level I; understand scope and limitations of the certified method.
• Familiar with codes, standards and contractual documents governing the method.
• Work with minimal supervision and identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
• Obtain and analyze information.
• Edit and present numerical data effectively.
