Job summary

MISTRAS Group, Inc. is seeking a Level II UTT Technician for full-time positions in the Greater Houston area, including La Porte, TX. The role requires a strong NDT background, specialized training per SNT-TC1A for UTT, and prior Level II certification or Level I with sufficient field hours.

Must be able to travel as needed and maintain safety standards. Responsibilities include setting up equipment, conducting tests, interpreting results, and documenting findings while advising trainees.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent
• Graduate of a specialized NDT technical program meeting SNT-TC1A for UTT
• Prior certification as an NDE Level II with one year of experience or Level I with adequate field hours to certify to Level II per SNT-TC1A

Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate equipment
• Conduct tests with appropriate NDT technique(s)
• Interpret, evaluate and document data
• Direct work of trainees and Level I technicians
• Follow codes, standards and contractual documents
• Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
