Job summary

ASCENDING Rental Property Inspections Technician in Glen Allen, VA conducts thorough on-site inspections of multifamily properties to assess maintenance, safety, and regulatory compliance, documenting deficiencies and providing actionable recommendations to owners and agents.

The role requires 3+ years in property management/maintenance/construction, ability to navigate stairs and outdoor areas, a valid driver's license, and strong written and verbal communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in property management, maintenance, or construction.
• Ability to conduct physical inspections, including stairs, walking grounds, crouching, and moving through parking areas.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable inspecting occupied units.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass an MVR check.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site inspections of interiors and exteriors to evaluate conditions and housekeeping standards.
• Identify and document deficiencies and recommend corrective actions to owners and managers.
• Assess capital needs and operational risks, providing detailed follow-up reports.
• Ensure inspections comply with internal protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Support compliance and monitoring activities as required.
• Communicate effectively with property representatives and collaborate with internal teams.
