Cherokee Millwright, Inc. is seeking a Multi-Craft Field Welder to join our Operations team. The role involves planning, laying out, welding, installing and repairing metal components according to blueprints, specifications, codes and industry standards.

Employees will be cross-trained in various trades such as millwrighting, pipefitting, welding, sheet metal, civil, etc. This role emphasizes safety, quality, and the ability to work across multiple crafts as project needs dictate.

Qualifications

• Must pass structural and 6G pipe weld test.
• High School diploma or GED in hand.
• Two+ years of industrial/commercial welding experience.

Responsibilities

• Layout pieces per blueprints, schematics, or work orders.
• Weld, surface, fabricate, and repair metal parts using appropriate equipment.
• Position pieces in jigs or fixtures using measuring tools.
• Inspect finished work for conformance to specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment.
• Follow all safety practices and maintain records.
• Contribute to safety committees or initiatives.
• Adapt to perform in other crafts as required.
