Job summary

AIXTRON Inc. is seeking experienced Field Process Engineers to qualify and sustain MO CVD systems in R&D and high-volume manufacturing.

You will act as the liaison between customers and the company, support process optimization and training, and maintain high customer satisfaction. The role includes implementing process recipes, providing support at key customers, coordinating evaluations, and possibly worldwide installation or commissioning.

Qualifications

• BS, MS/ME, or Ph.D in Chemistry, Physics, or Electrical/Materials Engineering.
• 5+ Years of MO CVD technology/process experience.
• 5+ Years of compound semiconductor materials or related device characterization experience.
• Proficiency with statistical analysis programs for process data.
• Ability to write formal reports and present to customers.
• Able to learn semiconductor processing for customer integration.
• Excellent communication across Manufacturing, Systems Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Support.
• Willing to travel internationally and domestically up to 75%.

Responsibilities

• Implement MO CVD process recipes and parameters per customer specifications.
• Provide sustainable process support at key customers.
• Coordinate customer sample evaluations at customer sites or labs.
• Define equipment process performance specifications for customer applications.
• Provide sales support including demonstrations and tech info.
• Assist with installation, system checks, and commissioning (if necessary).
• Communicate with customers to analyze needs within after-sales operations.
• Provide 24x7 service coverage.
• Document failures and solutions and follow up on validation.
• Analyze problems from customer requests.
• Document customer contacts and project files.
• Provide process improvements feedback to headquarters.
• Maintain tools and safety equipment.
• Stay current with new technology and components.
• Train less experienced staff and customer representatives.
